Students and Parents need to be aware of district policy and classroom procedures, concerning expected behavior. For a productive learning environment, any students who use the school computer lab accepts responsibility for their own actions while using equipment or while doing research on the Internet.

Students and Parents must read, sign and return
overvidew packet before using the school computers.

II - - Daily Class Procedures ..... RESPECT (People, Safety, Time, Equipment) RULES

Arrive with a positive attitude.

  • A1___EQUIPMENT: touch gently with clean hands. No gum, food or perfume sprays.
  • A2___TIME: sign in attendance. Keep backback in designated area.
  • A3___SAFETY: walk inside room, no horseplay.
  • A4___PEOPLE: keep your body and comments to yourself.

Be on task
during class

  • B1___EQUIPMENT: Get your assigned class folder. No extra markings allowed on class folder.
  • B2___SAFETY: sit at assigned seat. Keep chair legs on floor.
  • B3___TIME: write/type bellwork vocabulary.
  • B4___SAFETY: log-on to computer. No sharing passwords nor project files.
  • B5___PEOPLE: teacher clicker or lights off/on will call for class attention. Hands in lap, listen.
  • B6___PEOPLE: no talking while adults are speaking to class.
  • B7___SAFETY: no unauthorized web sites nor electronic devices.
  • B8___PEOPLE: help tutor your neighbor with a soft voice, not touching their mouse or keyboard.
  • B9___SAFETY: do not leave your seat to ask for help. Raise FLAG on computer monitor.
  • B10__TIME: if you leave class early, do sign out & time returned.

Clean-up before dismissal

  • C1___TIME: store your computer files inside your project folder. Log-off PC.
  • C2___EQUIPMENT: organize your desk area, notebooks, mouse & keyboard.
  • C3___TIME: mark your student roster # on all tasks.
  • C4___PEOPLE: return your tech folder to designated class bin.
  • C5___SAFETY: line up quietly. Class dismissed after teacher checks-out room.

Core-Subject Teachers can sign up to bring their class to the computer lab, not schedukled through Ms. McGinn. ACES availability is pm. TES has a separate computer lab.
Ms. McGinn teaches full-time between 2 schools. Her focus in computer-technology class is to instruct basic skills needed to create word documents, power point presentations and web pages.
To keep the learning community informed, Ms.McGinn is the web content manger of Toltec School District web pages and Calendars.
Computer Technology Class Projects can become weekend activities. Voluntary homework is for Students to oractice typing faster by memoring letters on keyboard, with access to a home or library computer at home.
